Reservation & Deposit Policy (Effective 7/8/2026)

Reservations: A $100 deposit secures your place on our reservation list and may be applied to your 1st or 2nd choice breeding pair. Once a kid matching your reservation is offered to you, a 50% deposit (less the initial $100, if applicable) is due within 24 hours to reserve the kid. A reservation is not secured until the full 50% deposit is received. Payments may be made by Zelle or Venmo. We do not accept payment plans. All payments—including but not limited to deposits, veterinary fees, boarding, feed, or other expenses—are non-refundable if the buyer cancels for any reason.

Frogtown Cedars Farm, LLC reserves the right to retain any kid born on our farm. If we are unable to fulfill your reservation, your deposit may be transferred to another available kid/adult during the same season, rolled over to the following year, or refunded. Deposits are non-refundable if canceled by the buyer for any reason.

Waitlist: A non-committal option that does not require a deposit. By joining the waitlist, you'll be added to our email list and notified if kids become available due to cancellations or additional availability. Any non-reserved kids and available adults will also be listed in our Sale Barn, Facebook and Instagram. If your plans change, we kindly ask that you let us know so we can remove you from the waitlist. If a kid is offered to you through the waitlist, the same Reservation & Deposit Policy applies as it does to those who reserved in advance.

We are accepting buckling reservations and will continue to maintain a doeling wait list, as retaining daughters is an important part of our breeding program and our long-term herd goals. We do expect to make some doelings and does in milk available in 2027.

3 ~ We'll be in touch! Once we receive and review your form, we'll contact you with a confirmation and, if applicable, a deposit will be requested at that time. Please do not send a deposit until requested. Deposits are non-refundable. Deposits may be made via Zelle, Venmo, or through our online Farm Shop.

Herd Health

Our adult herd is annually tested negative for CAE, CL, and Johne's. In 2025, our does also tested negative for Q Fever and Brucellosis. Results are available upon request. Our herd is G6S Normal by testing or parentage, and all Nubian herd sires have DNA on file with their registry.

Buyer Requirements

Frogtown Cedars Farm, LLC reserves the right to refuse any sale. Buyers must currently own goats and provide appropriate housing, secure fencing, knowledgeable care, and access to a veterinarian experienced with goats. Kids are sold only to homes where they will have appropriate goat friends.

Kid Care & Registration

Kids are sold disbudded, tattooed, and registered or with registration application, except pet-quality kids, which are sold unregistered. Buyers requesting horned kids must pay in full and pick up by 7 days of age. ADGA bucklings will have DNA submitted per ADGA requirements. Microchipping is available for $35 per kid.

Pickup & Transportation

Bottle kids are available for pickup at approximately 2 weeks of age, unless otherwise agreed upon. Dam raised kids must be picked up by 10 weeks (does) or 8 weeks (bucks). Transportation is the buyer's responsibility. Any requested health certificates, veterinary visits, vaccinations, or testing are at the buyer's expense. Limited delivery within approximately 3 hours of the farm may be available for $1.50 per round-trip mile. Boarding fees apply if the kid/goat is not picked up by the scheduled pickup date: $2/day for weaned kids, $5/day for bottle kids

Health Guarantee & Transfer of Responsibility

All goats are sold as healthy to the best of our knowledge and are free of obvious illness or injury at the time they leave our farm. Once a goat leaves Frogtown Cedars Farm, LLC, all responsibility for its care, health, transportation, and condition transfers to the buyer. We cannot guarantee the health or well-being of any animal after it leaves our care.

By submitting a deposit, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to all of the terms and conditions outlined above.
