We welcomed Ebony to our farm in the fall of 2022 and we are already in love with her! She has a super sweet and outdoing personality. Ebony has soft/pendulous/long ears, roman nose, beautiful conformation, long and level top line, stands on strong legs and a pronounced brisket.

As a 3 year old 3rd freshener, Ebony gave us gorgeous twin bucklings. On milk test in 2023, she peaked at 9.2lb of milk in 24 hours. She is a breeze to milk by hand with wide orifice, from the side her udder is well balanced front to rear with room between her legs and just look at that rear udder arch! For 2023 she is paired with Green Gables Mars Bars *B because we’d like to improve teat placement and smooth out that foreudder which we feel Mars will do. Ebony is due 3/23/24

2023 TMGR Conformation Clinic Evaluator Comments

In general appearance, a doe that shows lots of length throughout, specifically from hips to pins. Although she stands on a decent pair of feet and legs, I would like to see her hock in a bit less in the rear and be tighter in her toes. In dairy strength, a doe with an extremely long and feminine neck that shows sharpness over her wither, as well as openness of ribbing when viewed from above. In body capacity, a doe that could use more depth and width of chest floor, although taken into consideration that she is on a journey to gaining back weight.

In the mammary system, an extremely productive doe that has height and strong attachment to her rear udder. I would like to see a stronger medial and fore udder attachment, as well as fore udder extension.
