Sales Policy 2024

Frogtown Cedars Farm, LLC maintains the right to retain any goat born on our farm before making them available to the public.  Frogtown Cedars Farm, LLC will only sell goats in pairs, unless you already have goats of similar age. Goats are herd animals and need at least one other goat friend. All goats will be disbudded if not polled. If wish for your goat to be left horned, we require payment in full rather than a deposit and the kid(s) must be picked up by 2 weeks of age, no exceptions, no refunds.

Possession Timeframe

Kids are typically dual raised (dam and bottle) and will be available as bottle babies or when weaned, at our discretion. Any kid not picked up by the arranged date will result in all deposits being forfeited and the goat being put back up for sale. We try to be flexible when goats are being transported, within reason. Final payment is due in full before the goat(s) leave our farm. Payments are accepted as cash, Zelle or Venmo.

Registration

All of our adults goats are registered with MDGA, ADGA and/or TMGR. Kids will be sold registered or with the paperwork necessary to register them unless otherwise specified. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay the registration and/or transfer fees. Wethers or bucks to be wethered will not be registered.

Wethers

Bucklings should not be wethered before 12 weeks of age for urinary health over their lifetime. Buyers can work with their vet to discuss best options for wethering.

Health Certificates and Transport

Transport is the at the buyer’s expense. Health certificates are available at the buyer’s expense and can be scheduled with our vet or vet of the Buyer’s choosing.  The cost of health certificate and vet visit, as well as any other testing, are the responsibility of the Buyer. Health certificates are required if traveling out of Pennsylvania to another state. Multiple goats going to the same location can share one Health Certificate (and split the cost). Our herd is clean tested for CL/CAE/Johne’s and are G6s normal via testing or parentage in 2024.

First Right of Refusal

Frogtown Cedars Farm maintains FIRST RIGHT OF REFUSAL should the Buyer choose to sell any goat purchased from Frogtown Cedars Farm. The Buyer is to notify the Frogtown Cedars Farm with intent to sell, giving Frogtown Cedars Farm no less than 3 days to make a decision on the goat returning to the Seller at no less favorable a fee than would be offered to any other buyer.

Guarantee

We guarantee our goats are healthy when they leave us.  We do not have control over what happens once they leave our farm and make no guarantees once they have left our property.  However, we are more than happy to help new owners through the goat’s transition and love to keep in touch to find out how they are doing! We love to see photos of our babies just as much as we love hearing about them!

Frogtown Cedars Farm reserves the right to cancel any reservation at any time, and a full refund will be returned to buyer or transferred to another animal if available. If the buyer backs out of sale for any reason, deposit will NOT be refunded.
