Frogtown Cedars Farm is a little piece of heaven on earth that our family calls home in beautiful Bucks County, PA. We are loving this farm life, it is full many blessings and a lot of hard work. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
It all started as a dream, a hope and a prayer that one day we’d have a farm of our own to raise our family and have some farm animals. That dream came true in 2018 when we moved to our farm with a cute little red barn tucked in the cedar trees. Since then we have grown from a family with a few chickens and 2 baby goats to a working farm!
Over the years, we’ve grown our dream of a farm into a sweet little dairy goat farm, raising mini and standard Nubian goats. Originally we milked the goats simply for milk and to make foods from that milk but that wasn’t enough, we wanted to do more with our goats. Over the years we’ve built a performance herd, participating in DHIA (milk testing) and shows both virtual and live in the ring with our registered mini and standard Nubians. We now have finished Champions and some that have gone on to win Best Of Breed and Best In Show.
When we are not busy on the farm or off showing, we make hand crafted soaps, lotions and more which you can find in our farm shop. Each and every product is made by hand, in small batches right here on the farm. All of our products are keto friendly which is so important to us since one of our daughter’s is on the ketogenic diet for epilepsy.
Our farm is also home to a beautiful collection of poultry which we raise for eggs, meat and they help with insect control. Pasture raised poultry produce the most delicious eggs with a rich, dark yolk so you’ll find our chickens out and about or dust bathing along the house on a sunny afternoon.
Every farm with livestock needs some hard working LGD to keep predators at bay. Our breed of choice is CMDR Colorado Mountain Dogs who are bred to work smaller farms and homesteads like ours, and who love their humans as much as they care for the livestock. The first litter of home bred CMDR Colorado Mountain Dogs are due November 2024!
